Investor relations is the bridge between a venture capital fund and its limited partners (LPs). Done well, it builds trust, improves transparency, and increases the likelihood of LPs committing to future funds.

  • Good investor relations goes beyond delivering numbers. It tells the story behind the data — why a company’s progress matters, how challenges are being addressed, and where the portfolio is headed.

  • Transparency is key. LPs appreciate clear updates, even in difficult periods, and value proactive communication over surprises.

  • Strong investor relations not only fulfill a fund’s reporting obligations but also help secure ongoing support from LPs for future funds.
